Harry Edward Styles, known to the world of music by the name of Harry Styles, is a British composer and performer who is regarded as one of the members of the band One Direction. In Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England Styles is the son of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school where along with three fellow students, he founded his own group of musicians, called White Eskimo. White Eskimo won 2009's Battle of Bands thanks to their excellent performance. He was always interested in music, but also wanted to work as an attorney, physiotherapist or even a scout. He was employed in an area bakery on a part-time basis to support his family financially. For the year 2010 Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he sang Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. This is why his group had to separate. Nicole Scherzinger, the jury member of The X Factor suggested Harry Styles to join the band One Direction with Liam Payne Zayn Mlik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. The group's creation was a fact in 2010, and the five young people were funded by Simon Cowell. The group sang the Kelly Clarkson song My Life Would Be Sucky without You and Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart during the contest, which helped them become one of the leading contenders to win the competition. They were however in third place just behind Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles was not the winner. Cowell had paid 2,000,000 pounds in a contract for One Direction.
