Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy (born April 16th 1996) was born in Miami Florida. She is half English and the other half Spanish. The parents of her are Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker and Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. Her father, an Argentinean of Scottish as well as English descent is also her mother. She is Spanish with English roots. Four of her siblings belong to her father's former marriage. After being with her parents in Buenos Aires for six years The family moved to Victoria. Taylor Joy said the move from Buenos Aires to Victoria was a struggle and she was not able to take the time to learn English, hoping to go back to Argentina. Her school had to change from Northlands in order to attend Hill House. She then enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she took dance classes and appeared in plays. When she was 16 she quit school to pursue a full-time career in acting. At a very young age, Taylor-Joy knew that she wanted to be an actor and her goals were realized when she was given a modeling job by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
